Function

• Metal Romex clamp connectors, also known as NM cable clamps, are designed to securely grip the NM cable, preventing it from being pulled out of the box and protecting the wires from damage.
• Strain Relief: A primary function is to provide strain relief. If the cable is pulled, the clamp absorbs the force, preventing the wires inside from being stressed or disconnected.
• Insulation Protection: The clamp also protects the cable's insulation from the sharp edges of the knockout hole in the metal box, preventing shorts or damage.
